This course is suitable for beginners as a perfect start in carpentry by learning how to measure perfectly, cut clean joints, check all of your tools are perfectly accurate, sharpen tools properly, set up your power tools and machinery to “zero” to help you produce works of art.

You will learn the basics of measuring twice, cutting once. You will also learn a lot of terminology you can take note of and see how the carpentry industry goes through the whole construction process. From studs to stairs we skim over most carpentry topics to give you an insight into the wonders or woodworking. 

We see time and time again these fundamentals being missed by so many tradespeople. It sounds basic (and it is once you know) but it is commonly missed by some very talented tradespeople sending their quality into a downward spiral. 

There are so many spirit levels that are out of plumb but are still being used for decades, creating a bad reputation just because people don’t know how to check if their equipment is accurate. It takes 10 seconds to check a spirit level and saves your reputation. 

These common mistakes are among many that rob talented tradesmen of perfection. 

With this course you get a great introduction to what perfection looks like in construction as a whole.
